Breathwork + Soundbath at Sunna

  • Sunna (suite 105) 514 2nd Street Southeast Minneapolis, MN, 55414 United States (map)

Join Amy Kuretsky, L.Ac from Constellation Acupuncture & Healing Arts, and Kali Higgins from KALI for a small group breathwork + soundbath experience at Sunna.

Right now, in these wild times, we all need a bit more tending to our nervous systems. In this gathering we’ll be using the breath to release any stagnant energy that has been weighing us down, and then spend dedicated rest time being soothed by the gentle tones of a soundbath.

Breathwork uses only the power of our own breath with the support of music and a group dynamic to access a non-ordinary state of consciousness. We will seek a better understanding of ourselves through an intentional breathing practice to go within into the deepest parts of ourselves and witness whatever we find there with love and compassion.

Sound healing and vibrational sound therapies support people in shifting their consciousness, allowing for the mind to go into deeper states of meditation and relaxation. Each bowl and instrument has a resonant sound and sonic qualities that can also facilitate healing and spiritual connection on an energetic level. There is so much unnecessary noise in our daily lives that create discord in the body. By tuning into the harmonious sounds of the singing bowl, or working with dissonant sounds of the gongs, etc., sound meditation invites your body, mind, and spirit to re-align with their own natural frequencies of well-being.

There’s significant power in coming together in a sacred container to breathe and open our hearts together as a group. This group dynamic allows you to care for yourself while you care for your community through group healing.

This 90-min event will be split into four parts:

  • Time to ground into our present moment and set intentions for our time together.

  • Time to lay down and breathe.

  • Time after the breathing to receive the healing quality of sound.

  • Time to integrate the session as a group, ask questions, and close our time together.

Before you arrive:

No previous breathwork experience necessary. Wear comfy and warm clothes, bring a yoga mat, notebook and pen, water bottle, plus an extra blanket or whatever makes you feel the most cozy and supported.
