Reiki & Energy Medicine

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei, which means “higher power”, and Ki (or in Chinese, Qi) which means “life force energy”. This safe, effective, and soothing form of energy medicine helps to regulate the flow of the body’s energies and promote balance and healing of mind, body, and spirit through gentle touch. Reiki is an excellent complementary therapy to other forms of medicine, and is appropriate for people of all ages and states of health.

Perinatal & Labor Support Visits

Acupuncture and acupressure provide amazing support during the perinatal experience and to help prepare the body for labor. These specialized treatments can be performed at my office during regular clinic hours, or can be provided at your home, birthing center, or hospital on an on-call basis. Treatments take between 60-90 minutes, and typically include education and demonstration on acupressure for self-care during labor and support breast milk production and let-down. Please note that each birthing center or hospital has different policies about allowing acupuncturists to practice in their facility, so permission will need to be granted from your care team in order for me to provide treatment at the facility.

If you are interested in learning more about using acupuncture during the perinatal experience or to encourage labor, or want to schedule a visit, please contact me by phone at 612-787-7257 or by email at
