Winter Wellness on the Water

SCHAAR’S BLUFF GATHERING CENTER, HASTINGS, MN

SUNDAY, JANUARY 5, 2025

10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Join us in depths of the season of the Water element (mid-winter) for a restorative day retreat along the stunning banks of the Mississippi River.

Start the New Year well-rested

The Water element is all about recharging our batteries. Close your eyes and think about wintertime. The air is crisp and cold. There’s snow on the trees. Everything seems just a little bit darker, quieter, and calmer.

Or at least that’s how it’s supposed to be. In reality, wintertime seems to be filled with lots of hustle and bustle, like getting ready for the holiday season, or the societal pressure of setting New Year’s goals to get “back on track”. For the rest of the natural world, though, wintertime is a time of rest and restoration.

Taking a cute from nature, Constellation co-owners Amy Kuretsky and Dr. Kim Christensen will guide you through a day of rest and reflection, exploring qualities of the Water element and how this season can provide us deep insight into own health and wellbeing. Together we will share, learn, eat nourishing food (lunch provided!), and have plenty of laughter sprinkled in for fun, wrapping up the day with a soothing sound bath led by Lacey Cline from Sacred Vibes Healing.

No animal, according to the rules of animal-etiquette, is ever expected to do anything strenuous, or heroic, or even moderately active during the off-season of winter.

Where we’ll gather

We will spend the day at Schaar’s Bluff Gathering Center, located in the heart of Spring Lake Park Reserve in Hastings, MN, less than an hour from Minneapolis and St. Paul. This beautiful space is designed to capture the expansive view across the Mississippi River bluff. Complete with a cozy wood-burning fireplace, this space will provide the perfect environment to take in the beauty of nature while reflecting inward.
